How much are 17" monza's worth?
« on: August 01, 2009, 09:48:14 pm »
How do chaps?

Could someone help me please? I'm after a rough price for a set of 17" monza's with Dunlop sp max tyres (ones that came with the car, not sure on the exact name but I'll find out tomorrow) two of the tyres have about 4mm of tread and the others about 7, only ever been on the back.

I'm looking to get the bbs vz's and ideally i'd like to keep the Monza 2's because they are porn (beauty is in the eye of the beyholder and all that jazz).

I'll put pics up later but it's lashing it down at the minute, but there's not a mark on one of them.

Many thanks, luke

Luke, you'd probably be looking at between £250 - £300 depending on condition!  :happy2:

sh*t bed, didn't realise that they'd go for that little, there are none on eBay at the minute and give them a try and hopefully someone who just wants the look might pay a bit more, long shot though. Cheers nath :happy2:

The last few sets seem to hang around until they came down to that kind of money. They were fetching around £600 12 months back but seem to have nose dived. There may be a few looking for some track wheels so you never know your luck!  :happy2:

Yep those wheels are mint, just make sure you don't miss out as I can't see them hanging around at that price!

The way the dude worded it was that he was able to do them at that price regardless of having to order them in for the next 2 months due to all the fakes going round and bbs wanting to protect their trade, which might hopefully bring the price of their wheels down right across the board.

One can hope

I sold my GT Multispoke wheels for £700 when i got my Golf GT on eBay... tread was around 5mm on every tyre

Surely monzas are worth more ?

Something's only worth what someone will pay for it. I thought my Black/Red Huff were 'worth' a lot more than they sold for! Apparantly not!

Very True... as my dad says to me... "there's plenty of time to take a lousy price"

I sold my scuffed 17 monzas on e bay a couple weeks ago for £300, all with Dunlop tyres on and about 7mm of tread,
If yours are in good condition I think you could probably get £350-£400 to be honest.
