May actually be more like 250bhp  :ashamed:

Quick google search revealed this: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=122589.0

Most of us on here are on one or two forums

Revo Stage 1 about 270bhp, and stage 2 a shade under 300bhp.

They respond well and the map transforms the car, love my stage 2 GTi  :happy2:

We see 270-275bhp and 320-330ftlb from stage 1. DSG is the way forward as stock clutches are a weak point.

Sounds good, but there is no way im going back to DSG. Not having another one break and to be honest, i just got board of it. What can you expect to get in a manual on standard clutch.

Also, what is the options in regards to upgrading the clutch in the MK6?

Thanks

Same options as a clutch on a mk5

Despite what people on the forum say about modern DSG being trouble free, there's still loads of failures of new DSG units which is what put me off one  :sad1:

Even excluding the failure of the DSG units, Ive tried it for 6 months, and its just not for me.....I really miss stick shifting and been engaged all the time. I know everyone is different

Stage1 on the EA888 TSI is awesome, the torque is great.  As they say 270bhp and just over 300 torques - mid range 4th gear pull for example is wow.

So much better than a Stage1 on the mk5 GTI engine.

Why didn't VW use the TSI on the higher powered cars?  Golf R / Ed35 etc.

Because they hadnt worked out how to make it work with a K04 turbo. Revo managed it a while back. . .

Not sure if the new Audi S3 is a K04 TSI lump?
