Intake Manifold Flap Replaced - No change.
« on: April 20, 2013, 06:08:22 pm »
Hello everyone,

Just looking for some help really, My car has the emmisions workshop light on that turns ot to be the IMF.

I bought a new one and fitted it today, I havent cleared the fault but the car still does the revving thing where it sits at 1000RPM some times at traffic lights.

Does anyone know if im replaced the wrong part? or what this could be?

I have taken apart my old IMF and everything looks to be fine, Ill post up some pictures now.

Thanks Ryan

Car is a 2.0 tdi 140 BKD

When these go they blow a 10a fuse - check that

You may also need to reset the adaption too

If you plug in VCDS it will not find the IMF when you try and code it, once you replace the fuse it will

even without vcds, you can physically look at the fuses, find the blown 10a one and replace it

it's not 100% essential to re-addapt the new part, they car will still work

Have you check the fuse box near the battery ?

Hi,

Intermittent high idle found to be faulty coolant temp sender recently on a mk4 1.9 130 pd.

Worth checking just in case :)
