Coming home lights not working after fitting mk6 headlight switch?
«

I fitted a chrome mk6 headlight switch yesterday
Previously I just kept the mk5 one set to auto.the lights would come on when I unlocked the car and also after I've finished a journey and taken the key out of the ignition.they would go off around 10 seconds after I'd locked the car.
I've noticed today the light aren't coming on when unlocking the car and they also go off as soon as the engine is turned off.
Any ideas?
Help much appreciated

probably a stupid question but I take it that it was dark enough for the lights to stay on once you had turned off, as sometimes with my golf, the lights come on when driving (i.e. dusk conditions) but go off when you turn off the engine..
