Vietnam - Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City?
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:56:35 pm »
Right. We are looking to visit Vietnam in October/November (depending on location) and really don't know which location to choose. Hanoi seems to be more relaxed but there is also Ho Chi Minh City which sounds awesome but each have their attractions. After spending some considerable time on travel forums, Tripadvisor and Flickr and we are torn between the two.

I know we have some well travelled amount us, what are your suggestions.  :happy2:

We are starting to lean towards Hanoi but Mrs Degu is also looking at Kuala Lumpur. I'm just to let her choose it!

My parents went there last year and traveled all over Vietnam :)

They said it was a amazing place to visit

Hotels were pretty amazing and hotels were clean and helpful staff

The shops can be cheap but not much haggling as there very strict about prices :(

They are going again in few years so it must be good ;)

Hi DSG,

Thanks, Mrs DD is still undecided as to where she wants to go but it looks like its going to be Ho Chi Minh.

I've heard a lot of good things about Hanoi :)
