Neuspeed Torque Arm Insert / ECS Dogbone Insert

Got the remap done on the ed30 guys, and i've heard about these mounts, should i go for both on the title or just the 1. looked at some pictures and they like pretty much the same.

if just the 1, which is more effective. cheers wax

I may be wrong but arent they both the same just different brands so getting both would be pointless 

I have the ecs insert, i fitted it after the map, seems good, no massive difference but worth the money

i think your right, they probably are the same. its just i wanted to be sure, as the names were different. :)

They are 100% the same.

From experience they make very little difference IMHO.

As said above, both are the same.

If you have a manual then gear change should be less sloppy as opposed to a dsg when nothing extra may be noted.

an easy cost effective mod , however I would say that if you experience lots of 'slop' then you may want to jump to a more comprehensive solution like below :

It's recommended if you have a re-map then an uprated Down Pipe and cat as there have been reported cases of the extra engine movement as a result of more power/torque snapping the DP. So yes for the money they are well worth it!

Not essential then but still worth doing IMO.

As Greenouse suggests, a remapped engine is more likely to put additional stresses through the downpipe area and also, as in my case, can break exhaust mounts. For this reason, Milltek now include a free Torque Arm Insert with their new exhaust systems.

hell yeah!!! sweet sound. i was a lil lazy on getting the map done, ran the car for like 8weeks on the blueflame without the map and it just felt wrong, too much noise an not enough movement (like a boyracer car).

but now, since the map, its well sweet, i'm really impressed because before this car i only ever got similar speed delivery out of the jap cars.

got new tyres fitted on friday aswell and its got good traction now. :)

Wax, I had my ECS insert fitted after I realised that the engine was "rocking" a bit more than expected under hard acceleration.

Only got to look into this when I actually lost the plastic grip on top of the oil cap after a couple of runs at Santa Pod. Since the insert and replacement oil cap there's been no problems.

I think all it does is to limit the flex between the engine and gearbox. One notable change I did notice was that it significantly reduced wheel bobble under hard acceleration - where presumably due to the flex the wheels can lift from the road.

Apart from that, haven't experienced any of the vibration in the brake pedal that some people have mentioned in some of the other posts.
