Rear Wiper Blanking Plate
« on: May 13, 2013, 02:14:20 pm »
Hey

I am looking to remove my rear wiper, Does anyone know what type of blanking plate I need for when I have removed it?

Did mine recently mate:

Left it to soak in WD40 to help remove the arm:

Then removed the inner panel:

Then undid the 10mm nuts holding the wiper moter in:

Glass blank:

Held in place while silicon dried:

All done:

Inner trim panel was missing a clip, luckily had one in my parts department  :happy2::

Very pleased, much cleaner look.

Got it from here:

It DOES look nicer, but the fact that the Golf suffers from dirty bum syndrome, I am inclined to leave the wiper.  :sad1:
