New MAF Sensor
« on: May 13, 2013, 11:27:54 am »
Hi Guys. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a new OEM maf sensor for my mk5 GTI please? Don't want to have to take it to the dealers for a job I can do myself.

thanks folks

You could just copy the number off your present one and get it from TPS. It should be 06F906461A but you need to double check if your car is a late model.  Not cheap mind you at around £130.

What issue(s) are you experiencing that make you suspect the maf?

My emmisions light is on. I've taken the maf out and cleaned it and the light goes back out, that used to last a few weeks but its down to a few days now so i'm suspecting the maf is failing. What do you think?

Sounds quite plausible but ideally I would get a vcds scan from a fellow forum member to confirm your hypothesis before shelling out for a new one.
