What torque setting should the wheel bolts be on our Mk5's  :happy2:

Cheers guys. I bought a sleeved socket today as well funnily enough it was the only thing they had to fit the 1/2 in wrench.

I have been looking into that i might get the longer tuner bolts, like John advised. Mat does your wheel brace fit in around the bolt ok on your TD's  :happy2:

yes but i use an extension bar just so i am not near the wheels or the body of the car

I bought one of these a few months back after taking nousey's rims off him.

Bought a breaker bar and the nylon sleeved extension too, all from halfrauds.

The extension bar set isn't wrapped so can damage your rims, if you're cack-handed like me.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Yes i am a spanner but i know what an extension bar is.  :grin:   :P

Thanks for help the sleeved socket i bought is about 4 inches long so that takes me away from the wheel nicely.  :happy2:
