CAN gateway...Zenec NC 2010?
« on: May 15, 2013, 09:22:27 am »
I've done a bit of reading regarding updating CAN gateways with RNS510s and the like (mine's an 06-plate).

I figured it wouldn't apply to a non-CAN interfacing head unit (like the £300 Pioneer or Kenwood double DINs), but would it need doing for a Zenec NC 2010?

Thanks.

Just seen how much the Zenec NC 2010 is going for on ebay. For that sort of money you could get a new RNS510 and gateway!

I had a Zenec NC2010 and the CAN gateway is not an issue as it is with later OEM HU's. it's now in the wife's car.
If you search for 'NC2010' you'll find pics I once put up.

The Zenec has much more standard spec compared to an RNS510 and is designed for the mk5 chassis, so has perfect integration and MFSW/highline compatibility. Parrot bluetooth with use of telephone button etc and when upgraded, a far superior Satnav.

I paid £450 two years back, how much are they going for now? The NC2011D is the later model.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
