Engine cover mounting brackets- is one missing?
« on: May 18, 2013, 01:44:24 pm »
I think I may be missing an engine cover mounting bracket on my mk5 gti (06). It has no mount bracket at the front left of the cover when you look into the engine bay from the front of the car. Strangely, the tech at my local VW stealer reckoned there should be 4, but the parts guy couldn't find anything on ETKA that even looked right. Can anyone identify the correct number of fixings and the bracket part no. please?!

All help gratefully recieved!

There are 4 pegs/ball joints to secure the air box.

You need a ball joint (WHT 000 898), bracket/retaining plate (06F 133 344 C) and a screw/innensechsrund-zyl.schraube (N 909 725 01) for the front left mounting.
Without traction power is nothing!
