ED30 braking vibration
« on: May 18, 2013, 09:50:44 am »
over the past week the car has developed a vibration when braking, you can feel it through the steering wheel and also the brake pedal very slightly and also very occasionly i noticed there seems to be a knocking noise (sounding like it was the subframe, already had bolt and spacer mod) after the vibration and knocking started it was up on a ramp to get checked over. It also had new tyres fitted as old ones were close to the limit so suspected that this could be the issue as there were no indications to anything being untoward while to the ramp. The other thing i have noticed is that the steering wheel will occasionally vibrate after braking while i am driving in a straight line. I had fitted porsche brakes to the car over a month ago and everything is still tight with those, so really not sure what this is.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

What pads are you using and did you bed them in properly with the new calipers?

they are pagid pads, they came from a member on here so were already bedded in with plenty of life in them and they still do.
Are they not just warped...?

i did wonder if they were warped, but this wouldnt explain the knocking noise, surely?
