for the guys who've been there before this is irrelevant, but if your new to the ring this might help
the german insurance companies see the nurburgring as a public toll road and therefore cover them.
its really not that bad on there. ive done cake loadsa laps now, and have only come off once, but i was really pushing it at that point.
A few pointers for those who have not been before
As you approach a corner, not during, check your mirrors for bikers and quicker cars, you'll be suprised how cars sneak up without you realising it,
if a car is coming up behind you to overtake always indicate right(which would be the slow lane on a public road) and if they hit you, they are then liable.
when you come onto the last straight where you can see the exit, dont hammer it down there if you have standard brakes and brake fluid, cos when you brake hard at the bottom, and end up in the queue, you will have a very spongy pedal and not much breaking power at all, and they take forever to cool down.
Also after your lap dont pull into the carpark and leave your car, take it for a slow drive to cool the engine down, and more importantly the brakes. I always come out the track turn right at the round about take the frst left down the road, through the tunnel, and head back in past the petrol station.
Most importantly, when you park up after a lap, do not use your handbrake as the heat on the pads and discs can warp your brake discs. I park it in gear, handbrake off, bonnet up, to help with cooling.
And watch out for bikes as alot of them are absolute idiots and seem to have no fear for their life
