Rcd 310 battery drain
« on: May 22, 2013, 03:06:12 pm »
Hi all, I have purchased an rns 310 head unit to go in my 08 ED 30 so I can get aucmx factory set up installed, but I have read something about it may cause battery drain and I may need a new can gateway? Can anyone tell me what this is and if I will have issues or how to tell if I will have issues?

Thanks in advance.. Dan

Get a vcds scan and it will tell you what version gateway you have without having to physically eyeball the gateway.

It could be above the drivers side footwell just to the left of the boot release by the relay box.

Or

Behind the glovebox.

Or

Behind the ash tray.

Different locations for different MY's.

Where are you located as someone from the vcds register may be able to assist with a scan if you PM them.
