Standard size 18" alloys are 7.5j x 18 and 51 offset

The offset is generally determined by the width of the alloy and the overall gap between the arch and the inner suspension.

The lower the offset - the more the alloy will stick out towards the arch
The higher the offset  - the more the alloy will be pushed inwards toward the suspension .

If you go for an aftermarket wheel at 18" it would generally be 8" wide and have a 45 offset.
You can go wider, but you would probably need to do archwork or camber adjustment.

Also remember that the lower you go the more likelyhood there is that you will rub

a 30mm drop should be about right with an 8" wide alloy with a 45 offset. Some people will put 10mm spacers in the rear as there is slightly more room at the back :happy2:
