Paper or foam air filter?
« on: August 05, 2009, 04:47:57 pm »
I've heard a few horror stories in the past of the foam filters degrading due to heat and being drawn into the system, is this something to still worry about or is it something the companies have got around?

I've noticed most companies such as ITG, pipercross go for the foam filters where as BMC, K&N go for the paper based filters.

Can any one shed any light on it for me please?

Luke
If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.

^^^ I haven't heard of any issues with the foam filters on the Mk5, I have run an ITG for around 18K and then a pipercross for the last 24K with no issues.  :happy2:
