I used this to clay 4 wheels. My first experience with clay and I thought it would be much softer and more pliable. It was a cold enough day and I soaked the piece in warm water for about 2 minutes beforehand. I found that I couldn't roll it into a ball for example, just sausage shapes.

It did remove contamination, but wasn't particularly easy to use. Is this just the way it is?

Not  aproduct i have used, but when using clay i have a large jug of hot water at myside to keep putting the clay into so that i can keep it soft. May help.

Yep, warm, sunny days or a hairdryer are best !

Bilt Hamber Regular clay is quite an aggressive clay so it will be quite hard to mold. Were you machining the car afterwards? If not, chances are you've now got a very very swirly car :(

If the car was in fairly good condition and like said above if you was not machine polishing afterwards the Bilt Hamber Fine clay will of been good enough.

Otherwise the Bilt Hamber Clay is an excellent product.
