GTi Blinds - Before & After Pics
« on: May 28, 2013, 05:11:11 pm »
So took the plunge and bought rear side window blinds as well as a rear window blind. Opted for the more expensive set so that the rear is one piece rather than 2 with big seam going down middle.

I'm very impressed with them, took about 2 minutes to put them in (and would take 60 seconds to take them out)

They are these off ebay, not cheap but well worth it imo :) http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575009367&toolid=10001&campid=5337245808&customid=&icep_item=190585349735&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg

Photos don't really do them justice (was rainy and just used my phone to quickly snap them, plus car needs a massive wash/clean)

After

I'm also interested in these blinds. Did it take long for delivery? Also did it come with extra clips?

I've also seen something similar from www.vanstyle.co.uk, which is about £90 delivered.

On the 3dr blinds you get 3 blinds and 2 tiny clips.

The 2 blinds for the side windows don't use any clips, they simply fit into the recess perfectly by bending and twisting the frame slightly. They will just snap in.

Same with the rear blind really....but you clip the 2 black clips onto the top of the blind (about 18" apart).

This just stops the top edge off the blind moving, when you use the tailgate etc.

All in all they are amazing quality and fit!

I've taken my blinds out maybe twice in 2yrs, to clean the glass, only to find out that the glass was pretty much immaculate anyway.

Thanks Carlo, this could be something I will consider getting, rather than having the windows tinted.

Yep as posted they literally take 2 minutes to put in and 30 seconds to take out. Clips just on the rear that simply stop the blind coming loose when boot is open.

Τwo pieces rear blind there....you'll have a vertical fat "line" in the middle of your rear window..........!!!!!

I prefer these.............

Delivery was v. quick, quicker than i'd expect from a UK seller (they come from germany) so took like 3-4 days to get here.

And as above said, the £90 ones have big seam down middle in rear window as made from 2 pieces

So the £109.67 + £12.75 delivery , would be the better ones to go for with no seams?
