New gti owned looking to mod
« on: June 01, 2013, 12:19:43 am »
Hi guys, i've recently got myself a 3dr tornado red 06 GTI and i love it.

Car is totally stock and i'm looking to increase power and looks equally.  :driver:
Any suggestions would be a great help!
I'm thinking cold air intake, remap, cat back exhaust, are lowering springs a good idea with the state of Scottish roads? haha

Cheers, Aaron

cat back exhaust wont increase power. Your better off getting a downpipe with sports cat and marry it upto your standard backbox. You can goto stage 2 level of tune then.

Stage 1 remap and lowering springs would be a good start.

Cheers! I think you're right about the stage 1 and lowering springs - good starting point! Down pipe and cat are ones to think about when finances allow it lol

Does anyone run lowering springs and stock shocks?

Thanks again
