Factory lsd

Hi,

I am familiar with the teory and function of an open diff.
I'm also familiar with the theory behind lsd.
My question is:
A friend has an 05 gti, and on a lift if you turn one front wheel, the other front wheel turns in the same direction.
should'nt it turn the opposite direction with an open diff??
To see if mine was open, i turned esp off and made a wot i first, it ran 100% straight.
Is that possible without a lsd??

Put 1st gear in and it will turn the opposite direction, Jake.

Danish, was the car in gear or neutral?

It must have been in neutral.

Even a stock open diff has a smal amount of ''limited slip' caused by friction.

So if you lift one wheel there's still a small amount of traction. Way too smal to climb a hill with one wheel on ice of course.
