« on: August 06, 2009, 08:58:33 pm »
this has come on today whilst driving,  havent noticed any difference in the car and it sounds the same.

ive contacted the dealer that i got it from and they say it could be the Lambda probe. thing is they cant get it in till thursday next week!!!

is this still ok to be driving about as it is? will i do anymore damage to the car?

^^^ You need a stage 2 remap to get rid of the light as the exhaust sensors aren't expecting lower temps I believe you get with the larger bore/better flowing blueflame system  :happy2:

In answer to the OP's question

Yes you should be fine to drive with the light on, exhaust sensors are responsible for most lights that illuminate on modern cars and in 99% of cases it's just the sensor failing and as such the normal running of the car will not be effected.  :happy2:

You must have a fault then as the revo stage 2 switches off the second sensor. I have the blueflame and the light went forever after stage 2.  :chicken:

I've got the same problem - http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6533.0

Light keeps coming on for some journeys then disappears after.
I'll get it looked at, at some point. As the guys say, probably just a sensor. Idling/performance hasn't really changed.
