Mk6 flat bottom steering wheel

Just a quick one - Would this fit to a mk5 golf 1.6 fsi se?

I can see it now (just), if it's a multi function wheel when you will need a reasonably new can gateway for it to work, but otherwise as far as I am aware the Mk6 wheel fits fine on the Mk5.

There are a couple of people in europe that have retrofitted the Mk6 GTI one  :happy2:

As said, a few people have successfully fitted the Mk6 steering wheel to their Mk5. I'm going to do the same once I've stopped spending money on my Karmann and caught up with stuff on my GTI.

yeah mate defo fit, IIRC I think you need to make a few changes for the multifunctions on some of the older MK5's tho (dont take that as gospel)

Yeah you have to change the can bus module for the multifunction! I am getting an RNS and highline installed at the same time with the help of the very good man on here, Darren! I cant wait!  :signLOL:

It did but was took off. It would sit in the metal bit in the middle of it.

Well its brand new from the dealers. I did not pay the VW price of £950 + vat thats for sure!! I got it for less than half that!
