Hi Guys Not A MK5 But the running gear is :-)
« on: June 03, 2013, 07:10:59 pm »
Hi Guys,

I don't own a MK5 Golf but do have a few other VW's I have a MK1 Jetta, A Mk2 Jetta and a Passat TDI for smoking round in. I have a TFSi Going into my MK1 Jetta with a GT3076 and Full Haldex system so it should be fun. It is Coming along really well. I need to get my posts up now so that I can post in the for sale section. As i Bought an APR GT3071 turbo kit that I don't need as I've gone bigger turbo and BSH tubular manifold that we cut and flipped 180 to fit the big turbo in. I worked out better to bespoke build a kit to the car than chop up a kit that was made for a MK5.

So thats a little about me.

Hi Guys,.

Most people cut the scuttle out to smooth there bay , You HAVE to for that massive Turbo!

Cant wait to see more progress on this , finally a real build where its not just swapping nice shiny parts to more nice new shiny parts!

Grinders and welders FTW!
Full Hex+CAN in Hampshire.

There has been lots of welding for sure, there was the syncro golf floor swap to get the high transition tunnel in. The syncro rear axle to put in and mount plus scrapping the syncro rear diff and welding in a cradle to take the TT rear haldex unit. Cutting the bulkhead and fitting the recess for the turbo.  All the driveshafts had to be welded. Ill put some pictures up later. Should I put them here or is there a separate area for builds?

Thanks for the interest.

IE Rods installed.

All the harmonic balance weights if you have never seen them.

The manifold mounted as BHS intended.
