Fitting an armrest to a car without one
« on: August 23, 2009, 10:44:03 pm »
Hi I have just got a armrest and before i go ripping my car apart I wondered if there was a DIY on here. I have searched but cannot seem to find the information I need.
Thanks  :happy2:

Hi Ollie

I got your messages the other day sorry for not getting back to you but the messages come through on my car BT so they are stuck in the RNS510 at the moment.  If you get all the stuff for next weekend Saturday would be better for me,  having to goto gullivers,

Any way back to your post try this mate http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2374154&postid=25894688#25894688

VWVortex is amazing for DIY guides.

Darren

Thanks for the link Darren.  :happy2:

I have everything now except the Cluster. I am still eagerly looking. The RNS is arriving mid week so I will have that. The clusters seem to be like fairy dust. I have a few people I am awaiting replies on so with a bit of luck I will have one by the end of the week!  :rolleye:

Saturday is fine for me mate, I would like to get there pretty early if that is ok with you. If I cant find a cluster by then I will let you know so I dont waste your Saturday but I hopefully will have one.

Cheers Ollie :happy2:

I dont think I would have even needed the DIY. It was so simple 10 mins later and its done! I need to get a drinks holder and cover and a new air-vent from the dealers. If anyone knows anywhere I would be able to get it cheaper then I would be appreciative. I have also got to get the top re-trimmed to match my leather seats :happy2:
Cant wait to get the highline, RNS and steering wheel fitted! :jumping:
thanks for your link Darren!
Some pics. (iPhone pics = poop! :signLOL:)

Thanks mate  :happy2: I bet the leather top from stealers is more than a re-trim do you think? Ill go and see tomorrow at the dealers.  :happy2:
