There is more than one type of alcantara material you can buy. This is not as "plush" as interior alcantara. However the problem is, it becomes a pain when you re-fit things because the thicker alcantara does not fit properly and you end up with bubbles where an edge has come away or anything.

if you wanted Jairm to do this his rates are very fair, especially if you take the bits off and just drop them with him for a week or so.
We removed them on Thursday and he fitted them back for me while I was away in Scotland on work over the weekend.

nice flowers

They are nice aren't they? Everyone likes flowers.

Looking forward to seeing the rest, wish I had the money lol

Cheers man!
Yeah you wouldn't want to know what I've spent on this car so far, more than I spent on the actual car itself.

More pictures of the trimming as requested. Everything is tight around all the dials and switches and what not. If it does not appear so in the photos it's because they were taken on a potato.

I think some nice chrome dial surrounds, cherry red hazard switch and an RCD510 will make that look extra peachy... He's done a good job of it. :happy2:

Defo on the red hazard switch.  :happy2:
I'm not sure what I'm doing Audio based. I half want an MFD2 as I prefer the look of them weirdly , I would need to change the can gateway for the battery drain as well, it adds up. I'm having some Audio work done December/January anyway so I'll look into it then.

It's like having a permanent teddybear in the car. Very soft.

Looks nice!

No mate they are very easy.
I did put a mini guide together on the first page of the thread when I fitted it. (I even told you what wire you needed to splice )

I am seriously considering it but £1800 is not a small chunk of money to spend. I'm due about 25 hours extra pay this month (I get paid a week today) and will calculate it then.
I also have to check with insurers about prices for 320bhp limit. I do things properly  :drinking:

That's an awesome price fitted.

For me personally, I'd still be looking at what it would cost to change for an Eddy, and would the insurance play more favourbaly for you with a Stage 1/2 Ed over Turbo upgrade GTI plus Stage 1/2?

At the usual price of the K04 upgrade I'd favour an exchange for an Ed.30, but £1.8k fitted and mapped... hmmm... shirley that's the one to go for?  . :jumpmove:
