So a couple of other things have gone on...

New tyres for the front... they came to £238 for a pair.. and had the tracking done..

Not only that but...

and also.....

While Nick at Detail My Car was doing the calipers he left me crack on with some polishing, I needed to correct my rear nearside wing and the rear offside door, for some reason they had gotten some more swirls on them.. the rest of the car is very good considering I've washed it probably 70 times since being corrected.. . They were corrected once again and re-protected.
So big shout out to Detail My Car really happy with my calipers now.

I also decontaminated my RC's and, gave them a light polish and re-waxed them. They will unfortunately be the wheels I go to UD on as I'm not going to have the mercs rebuilt in time :/

Yes sorry, I copied from my build thread on uk-mkivs, which formats it differently. Should be good there now.  :fighting2:  :signLOL:

Today also got around to doing this...

Was having some terrible knocking noises which this SEEMS to have cured (on the short drive back it only happened once more as opposed to basically every time I accelerated and then braked).

Fingers crossed it solved the problem.

Got fed up with the car.
Sold it for £11k and bought this on a lease deal, saving me a fortune.

 :happy2:

Honestly never felt nicer getting back into my car. It just feels so tight and together and more beefy than the Citroen (which is not a bad car to be fair). Little things like how you sit "in" the seats rather than on them..the way the handbrake clicks down and feels solid and heavy rather than a bit flimsy... the complete lack of bodyroll compared to the wallowy Citroen. I'll miss it in a weird way but hey.

Sooo we have had the following done.

Votex splitter resprayed
Side skirts colour coded
Rear bumper resprayed
Rear valance colour coded with gloss black insert.

It's going back in for some other work soon, the rust patches under the wing and also to have a small scuff in the actual sill of the car (just where the drivers door is) removed.

Lemass Automotive did a really good job very happy with it. Going to wait for the rest of the paintwork to be done and then it's time to decontaminate the paint as it's got overspray all over it (to be expected), some light refinement and then I have some CQUK ready to go on so I'm excited for that as well.

Better parking.

Haha, the Citroen parking was better! The more spaces the higher the points.
