I hope one (or several) of you can take this on and sort this out. I'd love to help but as I'm a complete moron with this internet malarkey that's not going to happen but if and when monies are required, just ask.
Might also be a time to consider advertising as most members don't contribute a penny. Better a forum with ads than no forum at all.
No way Jose. That would contradict all that this forum has stood for.
I whole heatedly agree that this should NEVER be a forum spammed with ads
but its a suggestion that you (surly) can't summarily dismiss without considering the financial costs of running and maintaining the site on donations alone when those donations might not be enough. I've no idea if more comes in than goes out.
Just how much does the forum cost each month and is there a shot fall and, furthermore, is SteveP (more than likely) paying for that shortfall? Might be £1, might be £100 a month, I've no idea.
As said, I'd happily pay as I take out (from the site) a vast amount more than I can ever contribute in either knowledge or skills.
