How much bandwidth does the forum use a month?

I hope when Steve calls me I can get that information but yes otherwise for us who would be able to take over running the site we need to be told bandwidth usage average, bandwidth peak, database size, and monthly hosting costs (currently).

Well £30 a month can bag you 1TB of bandwidth so less than that i'd imagine. But yeah we wont know till we get the hard stats

It's usually the CPU that gets battered and I/O on heavy DB installs... Plenty of SSD or SAS environments about though... Should see the demands for the massive minecraft servers.

I don't work for a server company mate, I work for a private organisation (not in Web hosting) doing Networks, LAN, VOIP and Wifi deployments.

We all need to take it one step at a time.

No-ones inferior to anyone Deago lol, everyone I'm sure can help out in their own way.  
I've looked into hosting costs based on assumed bandwidth, and I'm talking with Rich about moving forwards. I don't think anyone of us would like to see the site go down.

I have PM'd Steve my contact number so when he has time I'm sure he will give me a call and we can talk about moving forward and sorting something out, touch wood with limited downtime.

As before, willing to help in any way, just let me know because i'd hate to see the site go down just like you guys, because its a great community and i use it frequently. But as said, nice to see people stepping up to the plate when it comes down to the wire!

We would not want to introduce that if at all possible to avoid all adverts.

I'm also a moron with the web hosting side of things.. I've contributed to the forum as I came from a forum with a sign up fee and it felt strange not to..

I do think we should have a membership fee of say £5 though if we do pull through this
