Bad workman Bad tools springs to mind  :signLOL:

Just kidding :)

I would take solace in the fact you have a Golf that has a higher terminal speed than a Nissan GT-R

Decent track etc then maybe you will achieve your goal.

If you want some lessons in how to drive in the wet though just give me a shout

Carl :happy2:

Yup, thats the plan  Should have built motor and the car basically done by then too.. If its still in the 12's then its either being sold or dropped off the edge of a cliff depending on how im feeling..

Nah, I can't see it still being in the 12's Jonny. If you managed a 119mph and were still spinning the wheels at 100mph that tells me that you'd be easily over the 124mph in the dry that you'd need in a FWD car to hit the 11's . :happy2:

:happy2: Car goes in tomorrow for another load of bits, new coil packs / MAF / MAP as there is a slight hesitation, so want to get to the bottom of that.. A little more weight saving and (hopefully) new intake and going to try a little more boost..

Any timeline for when you'll be having the rods and pistons dropped in?

MAP - Manifold Absolute Pressure, map sensor readings are used to calculate air density which in turn calculates air flow and is then used to regulate fuelling.

its the sensor in the TB pipe from IC to TB.

ECU is clever u see...uses MAF to read airflow pre turbo...then MAP to check again before Intake Manifold...then uses Lambda probe to check mixture on exit!

If all is good..u get the full beans. If its bit off..u get limp mode!

Sort of. You can run with the MAF disconnected and still get 'the beans'.
