Your more likely to sell it Msportsman as standard as you can get it. Some people are put off by highly moddified and taking a Risk on parting with 18k where theres a risk of it going Bang.

Im very surprised yours hasnt had more interest tbh.

The Build number alone would appeal to a Fan of the GTi.

Sorry Jonny..... for going Off topic :notworthy:

I agree.

Johnny maybe happy to wait for the right buyer.

I've had no viewings but to sell it as standard I need to put it on Autotrader and drop it to 15-16k

Main dealers are asking ridiculous prices........the bits should sell elsewhere on other VAG forums hopefully.

I'm resigned to the fact on the run up to Xmas I may have to hold off until the New Year.

Still I am enjoying the car 'when' I get to drive it...got keep the miles off tpo get the max I can on the sale. :sad1:
Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)

Ahh yeah.. Well to be honest I wouldn't be quoting 1/4 figures unless they were from a proper track but each to their own..

....A makeshift drag strip isn't a NHRA approved one like Santa Pod is. Or rather it's the timing gear used which is so critical and must be approved as I understand it.

Worth hanging on for a buyer I reckon - Very special car and you couldn't ask for a better maintained one either. The person who eventually buys it should be over the moon. It's just a matter of Jonny accepting a loss on the cost of his mods, but every one of use loses money when we sell any car. So what? We enjoyed it - It's the price we pay for our joy.

Most of the time its down to the actual length of the track.. But anyways its cool that someone has gone quicker..

There is a new record for DSG set with a 12.0 @ 116mph for a MK5 GTI with APR Stage 3 running the race tune on Slicks..

It does seem that a lot of 1/4 mile tracks abroad seem to run quicker than UK with equivlent cars. But there is so much to take into account (ie air temps, surface, altitude etc), so always a bloody mine field really.
Shows what a difference slicks make though Johnny. That APR Stage 3 GTI runs the same terminal speed as yours, but over 1/2 second quicker..  :surprised:

Which confirms the APR Stage 3 kit, even with the optional race fuel map and built motor in the real world would be no quicker than a Revo Stage 2+ K04.. Hmm..

Anyways im going to stop there before I get a beat down from the APR fan club  :happy2: :happy2:
