For the engine im looking at the following..

Built motor / BSH GT3076R turbo Kit / Lots of trick bits.. The aim is a solid 500hp

For the chassis and interior its going to get serious

The aim is 1000kg which is going to mean very in depth weight saving! The last time the car was on the scales it was 1190kg so there is plenty to come out..

At the moment I can see it getting down to 1050kg, thats with extensive carbon / plastic work etc and the last 50kg will come from gutting the interior and replacing with superlight weight materials..

Its in no way going to look like a shell inside though, carbon, flocking, alcantara etc etc.. All super light weight but with a high quality feel

Ha, gunning is not the word.. Running a high 11 will be VERY easy with the plans that I have, the car would do that now with slicks and race fuel on the K04!!!

Throw some race fuel and drag slicks on it (play them at their own game) And im looking to get deep into the 10's with the new spec..

Exactly.. The bull sh*t will stop most probably.. They keep on ignoring the fact that the S3 is up and running and VERY quick.. Such a shame I can't do a run

Thats about where im at for now, still loads to be considered, but the idea is basically to end up with a 550hp / 1000kg Golf GTI.. With the plans for the suspension / mapping / wheel & tyre set up im confident that the car will be very drivable and EXTREMELY fast at the same time..

I know most people will see that headline figure of 550hp and say that it will be completely pointless, well, it wont
