It would probably be cheaper to buy the new Golf R and swap the turbo
Yup, I do really quite like the MK6 actually.. I would rather drop a TFSI into a MK6 GTI though and go from there..

Sounds good to me :happy2:
Golf R gone.

For sure.. Scirocco R is a nice car, could certainly be an option in the future..  :ashamed:

2.0T FSI K04 Go-ped?  :scared:

Nope a Skateboard

No i have an idea which if it works I reckon will impress even you

Also I don't think K04 stage 3 software would be wise for a converted Octavia vRS

I'm thinking bent rods etc due to too much power. I have a Sachs clutch and flywheel in mine so I could handle the torque. But standard forget it. Plus I don't think the BWA internals would cope with K04 stage 3

Sounds very interesting, looking forward to it  :happy2:

K04 conversion with Stage 3 Revo is no problem for the rods at all! Look how many ED30 / S3 / Cupra's there are out there running with Stage 2+ (same map essentially) Hell, im running 22psi at 7700rpm with a 3076R on stock block!

Revo have been running their own TT with a K04 conversion for a long time now, and that thing has been driven on numerous track and 1/4 mile days, very hard, with far more boost than the stock Stage 3 file.. Still zero problems..

Hmm I did wonder if it was all hype.

That may have changed plans slightly then but will have to wait till after I get married.

I'd lose my bollox if I did it beforehand  :rolleye:

What power/torque is the TiT running? And is it purely a K04 conversion (turbo injectors relocated dv and gaskets/seals) or has it had more done to it?

Carl :happy2:

Ha.. Best do then  :happy2:

RS4 injectors, K04 ED30 turbo and manifold, DV relocation, Milltek turbo back, ITG intake, HPFP etc etc.. So basically a full bolt on K04.. Yeahh dont worry, I mean, yeah you can throw a rod with a K04, hell.. You could do one with a K03, but thats on sh*tty tunes with excessive timing, huge EGT's and so everything runs hot, and things will break..

There is a HUGE amount of different areas that need to be considered before just saying (as many do) that the 2.0T FSI block in standard form is only good for 350WHP..

My thinking was if the engine was ok as is in BWA/AXX etc form then why did VAG change the internals and strengthen the bottom end for the K04 engines? There must be some reason behind it. After all they are a buisness and why pay more for development and parts if the engine they already have is fine?
