I know you said that you've changed the intake to make room for the external wastegate dump, so do you think that the new design will perform worse than the Twintake or just as well?

I would expect it to work just as well to be honest.. With the tubular manifold, a stock location intake picks up a huge amount of heat, so it will be interesting to see how this one performs.. The combination of short intake pipe, good cold air feed and Forge MAF etc (which is the critical bit) im hoping to see good results.. Time will tell I guess, its a first attempt, and there will be room for improvement im sure..

I still 100% rate the Twintake as the best intake out there currently for the 2.0T FSI motor.. Just I need something a little different to achieve what im after..

Did you run the bsh intake for a while on the s3 and whats your opinion on that one?

Yeah I ran the BSH intake on the S3.. Its nice, stock size pipe and MAF housing and a nicely made filter heatshield but the filter area itself is a little small for my liking on a larger turbo..

Like the vid, dsg is the really impressive thing for me. GT3076 is the best all round road turbo for a 2.0l so not suprised there.
Definetly a 11 second car . :happy2:

Cheers Ryan..

I can honestly say that I couldn't be more happy with the match up between the turbo / manifold and this engine running the Revo software, its fantastic..

Now its just going to be a case of all the little bits coming together, takes lots of time (and money) but its all those little bits that really make the difference when all added up..

Yeah plan is to build a motor then drop it in when a couple of other bits im working on are ready.. Then its time to make some real power.. Aim is a solid 500Hp (proper HP not Disney rolling road HP) Revving to 8500rpm running around 26psi.. Thats the aim, we will see how it goes!

Are you adding the crank (pictured) also ?

Yup, not a normal crank though, 75CC more  :happy2:

Lots faster I think.. I have taken the decision to go ALL OUT on this car now, hence the motor build.. Im aiming for the 10's in the 1/4 in 2010.. I know that seems stupidly fast, and it is.. But I have a serious amount of development going into the car.. Its going to be wild!!

Hope so!!   Yeah N/A with big lift cams, light crank and flywheel thats not a surprise.. Great thing with the 2.0T FSI and the Bosch ECU is that you have stock like driveability, even on larger injectors and big turbo.. Love it!

The head is being built with Ferrea valve train parts, being ported and polished and for now will be running stock cams, Im working on a set of much more aggressive cams than Schrick have to offer..

And You would be surprised what else is going to happen to this car, trust me   There is plenty else

Thats the charcoal canister.. It catches vented fuel vapors and recirculated them for the engine to burn off.. All of the 2.0T FSI cars have them, just mine has a cover on it thats all..
