Thats because the DSG has a torque limiter and will be pulling the car back, requested boost will be more than actual..

Not according to VAGCOM JC.. Been tested quite a few times now and requested an actual were bang on. About 1.5-1.6 bar IIRC..

Ah really, hmm.. Thats very interesting actually.. You definitely have a strong car! Or no DSG torque limit lol..

Good stuff. Had a go straight line with my mate in his m3 csl and the cars were pretty much dead even. May go with pump, stage2 and 3"custom so i can whoop his ass lol
Wish i had a carbon fibre roof and one of the best sounding engines ever though

I pulled 4 car lengths on my mates E92 M3 the other day in mine.. Quite amusing! CSL is sloooow.. You will take the piss once you have stage2 and a pump etc..

I think the only reason it was so close is the smg shifts quicker than the manual. Need a shortshift fitted too  :jumping:
Bens is definately a strong engine

Mine still wont slip, when it does start doing it badly im going clutchmasters instead of vwr. Need to go flywheel too.
Did you get a flywheel and clutch from vwr matt?

Would be appropriate for me to gloat about the DSG??  :P Only joking..

Oh god, dont bother with clutch masters! :scared:

Yeah its a shame really, there is a fair few choices out there for clutches though. If I had a manual car again I would go for the South Bend stage 3 clutch kit. Comes with a solid lightweight flywheel and the clutch cover and drive plate are sachs parts, which are OEM manufactures for most of the german car companies..

Most of the big power cars are running South bend now, with good results!

I had the sachs cover and drive plate on the S3 with an OEM flywheel, the clutch was good but it was let down by the OEM dual mass flywheel which is sh*t!! No slip, but I just hate the feeling of a DMF..

Definately have that mate.. Ask Hurdy, he experienced it today when I met him for a quick coffee. If I run B7 T7 F9 it pulls like a bitch top end, but then after every change I get a hideous pause in power..   The only settings I can run to get rid of that (well 80% of it), is B9 T6 F9. Just a bit aggresive for the greasy roads at min, so have to be gentle on the throttle..

If we get chance on sunday Jonny, I wouldn't mind a ride out in each others car. You will see what I mean then..

vw racing use stock flywheel and pressure plate just a better friction plate as they have tested the stuff to death

I think Jonny will be in a league of his own and leave the rest of us to fight it out for ourselves. But going of his spec now, it's hardly suprising.. That thinkg will run mid 12's in the right conditions i'm sure..

But can Jonny fight the nerves and handle all 340ish of his horses!!? I suppose DSG makes his life a hell of a lot easier!

I think at the moment, with my lack of traction and clutch control a 1.0 Corsa would have me at the lights!!!
