Speaking to Mark from VWR today, I asked about the torque limit of the DSG gearbox and he was quite certain that you can't push it beyond 295 ft/lbs (400nm) without clutch slip, As for the uprated DSG clutch packs, he wasn't too sure about whether they worked well or not 
....I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest, based on my own conversations with Mark, that he meant that to push DSG beyond 300 ft lb / 400 Nm
increases the risk of clutch slip.
Regarding the uprated DSG clutch packs, he's probably unsure because VWR haven't 'driven them to death' yet (as far as I know). I've noticed that VWR/RL are very cautious about fully supporting a product for the public until they have very thoroughly tested it themselves, but then they stand behind it 200%.
