I was going to get a pair of Michelin Pilot Cup Sports for the fronts but decided against as its going to be very cold... Got some Michelin Pilot Sports all round though.   Not as grippy as the Toyos though   But then again, how good are they in this weather?

Hi illyun, I notice that "VWR Race Engine Mounts" are listed in your sig - I don't want to hijack this thread, so have you posted your thoughts about them anywhere?

Thanks,
Robin

Nope, because the car only had them put on yesterday and its still at VWR  :happy2:  However, the demo car is nothing short of awesome.  Its mods combine together to produce the perfect GTI.

How to you do that with DSG?  I'm guessing that I lock the handbrake upto the max, put the car into S and give it some on the accelerator?!  Honestly haven't a clue.  And what does that do to the handbrake?    I wonder how much they cost to replace - is it the handbrake cable that eventually goes?

One of the first things I need to do this summer is book a few lessons with a performance driving instructor - I think Robin took some a couple of years back and from what he said they were well worth it.
