it'll be amazing if you can do a 11sec run with the K04 johnny!  a set of drag slicks may get you near, but will your DSG gearbox hold up?

some of the peeps across the pond are nutters, bolting GT30/35's into VW's humble FWD Golf!

That Red US GTI shifted gears pretty fast.. I wonder if he had a WOT box installed?

Update..

Hey, just a quick teaser really..

New seats again today, managed to get one in, as I was supplied with only one set of correct base frames, pretty annoying!!!

Anyways pleased with them, need a bit of jiggling around to get them right, going to move them towards the centre console as they feel too close to the door, and hopefully ill be able to drop them down a little more, want them super low! Having new cashions made tomorrow which should help with sitting me more in the seat also..

Anyways heres some pics..

OEM seats 33.5KG each! Recaro's... 11.5KG each including mounts etc  :happy2:

Base weight of the car as it stands now should be around 1230kg.. Im getting there slowly!!

....They slide on the runners and tilt adjustability is done via the screw fixings in the slots and holes in the aluminium side supports. I know because I helped Jonny install them - Easy when you know how but took a heck of a lot of working out!

As you'll doubtless see when Jonny completes and posts pics, they really suit the car interior - I was surprised how they don't just look like a bolted on goodie - Their detailing matches the interior finishes (the ones which are currently remaining!!).
