i'm thinking GT30/35 will be in your plans. but there ain't THAT much room in the engine bay.

7500rpm? How you planning to raise the rev limiter to that level?

no idea what the rev limit of the ED30 is, but can you ping 7k rpm at the mo?

You'll need to get a proper Intake Mani made up too I reckon. wow this is gonna cost a lot of ££££'s.

Sounds like you've been researching and planning for quite some time. Who are you gonna ask to MAP the bugger? Also you gonna stick with the Bosch MED9 ECU or go aftermarket like MoTeC, and map in some anti-lag pops and bangs!

There are cars revving over 8k in the states on the standard valve train, and have been for quite a while..

It would stay on Bosh management and would go to Revo, the only people that I would have map it really..

Two questions though, if I may?

1) What's different/special about the TT suspension arms? And are they a direct swap?

2) Doesn't the DSG change up at specific RPM (even in M) therefore negating any raise in the rev limit - or am I missing something? Is this is a soft limiter that is just lifted with mapping?


Also, just found out that I should be at Le Mans 24hrs so will be cheering, albeit quietly, for you - I'm hopefully going with a mate from MAHLE in a 'mule' that needs some mileage put on it so will be hanging around the Audi's, but will keep a little AML flag in my pocket for you guys!

2. OEM DSG software changes up at specific revs. There are already several software upgrades for the DSG out there

I know that HPA and someone else are offering MCU software upgrades in the US, but I wasn't aware of anything being readily available in the UK currently? Have I misses something - who's offering what over here?

TT arms are aluminium, so a little bit lighter, not sure how much though.. I would guess a couple of KG each.. The big thing is that they have eccentric bolt holes so you can dial in just under 0.5 degrees negative on the bottom arm.. Better to do it there than on the top mount if possible.. I should be able to get to 2.7 degrees negative then, with a LOAD of caster too..

Yes the standard DSG does, but who said mine was standard

Hurdy - I take it that the GIAC upgrade has been rolled out across the UK dealer network then? There's no mention of International availability on the GIAC site and nothing on Regal's site either.
