Thats some stirling work done there, that aircon rad must soak the 'cooler like hell.

Good progress - sub 11's FTW!

He'd have to beat this car then

Not going to happen without drag slicks and at least another 200hp haha.. He gets half a second on me on the launch too, thats would get me down to a 12.1 and thats just with K04 power..

Bare in mind that car has 600WHP (roughly 700 crank hp)

Also, isn't Jonny priding himself on producing a road car that's ultra fast, rather than a specialist car with drag slicks and special fuel etc.

it'll be tough keeping it as a road car with a GT30 on board i'd say. Will be a bit laggy, and power range will be moved up...but he'll love it when it comes on boost! should put a half cage in at that point IMO, safety reasons.

GT30 on this engine spools at 3500rpm.. So no different to K04, pretty amazing, but with good tuning it is possible..

His is an internally gated GT2871R.. GT3071R is external gate which really speeds up spool time, and as I say its all in the tuning..

think the only people in the uk to have mapped one on OEM ECU is MRC Tuning. Think they got 400bhp, on std internals still i believe.

Revo I think can do a BT custom file tho, as a couple of mad nutters on VWVortex have done.

You'll need to get a nice equal length Exhuast Manifold made up tho.  :happy2:

Can't wait to see the plan get into full swing!

Who would you go to for the gt3071r set up?

Ill be having my own kit made, not an off the shelf jobbie.. Mapping would be done by the Revo guys!

The dream would be to relocate the battery and the fuse box and run the turbo at the side of the engine, next to the HPFP..

I would run a similar deign manifold to this one.. (Civic Type R turbo manifold)

That would look pretty tasty under the bonnet wouldnt it!!

In reality I may just go for a stock location turbo, but thats no where near as much fun!!! haha..

Revo have mapped an ATP GT3071R turbo on Andy Oram's big turbo S3.. They have an off the shelf file for it.. Stage 3

So on a tfsi (Cupra) with HPFP, dbilas, 3" d.p, 2.75" non res system, biiig apr cooler, apr stage 2+ what else would be needed?

(assuming possibly new inlet, injectors, mani, turbo, clutch) are there considerations i should think about and what sort of cost?

Many thanks

that is one mad mani! I can't quite visualize how a mani like that would fit in the mk5 engine bay however! But you're the man to have a go tho!  :signLOL:

The ATP ones are pretty boring cast types, but maintains a bit more OEM look.

How much bhp is Andy getting then with his set up on the S3?

Looking decent, the seats i particuarly like!

Ok, say for example I woke up on Saturday and decided, I know, I want to replicate everything Johnny's done to his car, but do it to mine. I say replicate, I mean do very similar stuff to have a Diamond black nightrider esc mk5.

Aside from not knowing practically anything about it and hiring you to do most of the work for me haha, roughly how much would I need to raid my ISA for to bring my GTI up to this standard? I understand you may not have finished with it, and I don't need an exact figure, just roughly!
