I'd grab a backup so you can test to see if it is the MAF that's the issue.
To clean, you will have to remove the electrical connector then undo the torx bolts and carefully remove it from the induction pipe... spray with your electrical cleaner and allow to dry whilst still holding it and replace... I wouldn't even set it down. If you goose it, the car may stall continuously after turning over; happened to mate of mine.
I bought a backup when I installed my CAI just incase.
