Garage has scraped paint off caliper- advice needed
« on: June 11, 2013, 08:16:23 pm »
Hi Folks,

Got the rear pads changed yesterday along with some other things and have noticed that some paint has come off the rear caliper. Should I ask the garage to sort it or this something that can be done easily myself- i.e. buy the right colour paint and just paint it myself? Thanks for any input.

It's just painted. You can touch it up yourself if you don't want to try asking the garage to sort it.

Any high temperature paint will suffice. Hammerite direct to rust smooth red has been used successfully by some forum members.

The critical part, as with any type of painting, is the preparation.
