front camber and lowering question?

when lowering the mk5 is the front camber not afected ie made more negative? just wondering why its not adjustable?

Camber ends up coming off the front end as you lower this car due to the geometry.. As you lower the rear you will increase the negative camber, so its a perfect recipe for understeer.. Not that 99% of people out there check the geometry after lowering  :scared:

The only way to have adjustable camber on a Mcpherson front strut is either adjustment on the bottom arm / hub connection as in the TT or from the top mount.. Both options are readily available for our cars..

more negative camber would surely elliminate understeer.

-1 degree is standard
mine has -1.15 degrees on my last check since lowering. when i fit my tt lower arms i should be able to get -1.15
although ive been offered H2sport top mounts in a swap which im mighty tempted in. they are 4 way adjustable to either -0, -1, -1.5, -2 degrees.

But i do agree very much so that after lowering you need geometry sorting. my cornerweighting made a huge difference
