Well, just had a call from Porsche and I've won one of the prizes for an experience day next Friday driving the new Cayman at the Porsche Centre, Silverstone!!

Interesting to hear what you think of the cayman 2.7 in isolation if you get a chance to drive it

I never did get around to reporting on this. However, I'm in their video a few times. Look out for the shortarse skinhead in the Superman t-shirt, also giving thumbs up to the camera after pax laps!!

It was ok, but I'd never choose one over the S. I wouldn't be happy with the power on the non S on a day to day basis. The S is just so much better in every way and still only has about the same power as my M135i.

Ok thanks for the feedback

I expect it is the low torque that would be really noticeable especially over my stage 1 Pirelli

The cayman may sound nice near the redline but it would be tiresome to drive it like that to extract the performance just to keep up or push on when wanting a bit of fun
