It looked amazing at UD mate :happy2:

That glass grommet looks the nuts too! i may have to invest in one of those asap.

Thanks buddy. Yeah get one, they're well worth the money  :happy2:

On the pescera's did you run spacers or not? Also what tyre size were you running on them?
I literally religiously follow this car on Instagram, such a minter.

I only ran spacers behind the pescara's so the TTRS's would fit otherwise I didn't. Tyres are 225/40 on them I think.
Thanks man really appreciate that. What's your Instagram?

12.5mm but it's ridiculously tight. Had to remove the wheel weights as they were rubbing on the caliper so I'd recommend 15mm. It never rubbed but I didn't ride that low and also only ran the spacers for a week before I changed the wheels.

Were your arches rolled? I just can't fathom how your wheels were able to steer when on coilies, It seemed very low.

Also were the helpers in on the front coils or not?

The arches weren't rolled and still aren't now  :signLOL: It was fairly low but not unable to steer low lol. There was still a fair amount of thread left on the fronts. It occasionally rubbed if taking a corner fast.

Thats alright then, I'm basically just trying to replicate the stance you had on the coil overs. Do the Apex have helper slings, and did you leave them in?

Update on lots of bits and bobs...

Very chuffed to have picked up two awards in two weeks for the Edition

Last weekend I came away with Top 20 in Show and Shine at GTI Spring Festival and yesterday came runner up in best MK5 at Early Edition. Still in shock especially after yesterday's award.

Last week was time for the dreaded yearly MOT  :scared: Happy to say she passed with flying colours and with no advisories.

Few new parts too. Firstly the GTI seat inserts which I've been meaning to buy since I bought the car. Actually surprising how much of a difference they make when you open the door.

Genuine shark fin aerial, but only a dummy version. Who listens to the radio anyway! This isn't fitted yet as it's been sent for paint.

Also ordered the black washer and coolant caps from Alex at AKS to change the bright blue ones.

A friend of mine has the VAGCOM software so had him plug my car in on Friday and code in the DRL's. I love this simple mod!

Now for a few proper pictures!

Last weekend after one year of ownership  :drinking:

Spring Fest -

Early Edition -

Hopefully have some more photos from yesterday over this week which ill add.
Thanks for looking  :happy2:
