Outer CV boot replacement on DSG
« on: June 15, 2013, 05:14:38 pm »
Noticed when cleaning the car that there was a nice thick blob of grease in the wheel arch! Could tell straight away where it had come from, so i look at the driveshaft and the boot has 'spilt' to the front end of where the clip is fastened:

I have do some searching around the net and found a fairly useful guide here:

Only quierey is, that mine is a DSG and I have read whilst searching that the driveshaft is held into the gearbox, is this the case? Also curious if anyone on here has attempted this job on the mk5?

Thanks in advance  :happy2:
