Advice
« on: June 15, 2013, 09:53:56 am »
I bought a set of 4 speedline alloys from a guy advertising on eBay in March, we did the deal outside of eBay but as a PayPal transaction for goods. I was ensured these alloys were 100% straight and geniune. I arranged for a courier to collect from the guys address. Everything went smooth. I've had the wheels in storage until this weekend, waiting to fit them, I took them to A1 in Wolvohampton for a touch up and they told me one was buckled. Now I've been in touch with the guy who doesn't really want to know, he states they were '100%' when he had them. These wheels have definitely not been used during my possession and have been sat in storage, I really don't see how they could have become buckled during this period. Could anyone offer any advice please of what I could do next?

Get it straightened and take it on the chin, there is always a certain element of risk when buying things unseen and secondhand

I agree with the others. Even if you did the sale through ebay, you've left it so long to raise the issue that it wouldn't be entertained anyway.

Live and learn, at least it is repairable.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Cheers guys.

Anyone recommend anywhere in the west mids that would be able to carry out this kind of repair?
