Where is R32 Factory fitted Bluetooth interface
« on: June 13, 2013, 01:30:38 am »
:happy2: Hello everyone, I was trying to fit RNS510 and Bluetooth 5K0-035-730-B(with wiring loom) to my car(comes with RCD300).
After I take off the RCD300 I can see a cable from factory wire loom with Purple conector(GSM Antenna).
It seem the car had bluetooth installed before.
When I scan with VCDS there is 1K0035729E Bluetooth interface box exist in the system can be coded but cannot connect by phone.

After I install the Bluetooth 5K0-035-730-B  and RNS510. my phone can connect to Bluetooth but the sound is inconsistent.(sound drops every half second)
VCDS can only see the 1K0035729E Bluetooth interface box not the Bluetooth 5K0-035-730-B.
I guess the two system are interfering with each other, would need remove the 1K0035729E to fix this.

Spent a whole day to try to find where is the 1K0035729E has been installed.
I strip almost the whole front console off try to locate the 1K0035729E but no joy. :sad1:
Already tried under both seats, even found the Motorola Tracker...

I have took the front console off still no sign of the original Bluetooth interface box.
But as it is a factory fitted unit... it fused properly in the engine compartment fuse box.
Take Fuse Number 20 out and the factory fitted Bluetooth interface box sorted.  :happy2: :jumping:
