Hi guys,
Sometimes when i open up the car i get this musky smell coming from the vents. Is there anything i can do about it? maybe change the cabin filter or something?
Cheers

When I first got ours, there was a musty smell, really bad if you used the AC. After an AC clean/ regass and check over. Problem solved.

does it smell a bit like cat pee? something to do with a type of bacteria that likes growing in car ACs. as above, clean, new filter and re-gas and should be right as rain

As above
when I got my Golf it used to stink when the A/C was on... back to dealership for a complete re-gas and air con service FOC, 18 months later it still smells fine!
The idea is to at least run the air con for half an hour or so every week, otherwise the bacteria can build up in the system

Where would i go about getting an aircon service? where is best, the stealers? or could i clean it myself, change the filter, and get somewhere to do an aircon recharge?
Cheers

Iirc the filter is behind the glove box and is quite easy to swap from underneath. Stealers do tend put have offers around summer time tho so might be with looking out for one
