Heated seats stuck !
« on: June 17, 2013, 04:04:14 pm »
Well I took my GTI for a drive this sunny day, but I noticed that I was getting pretty warm despite the fact that the airco was nice and cool...
Apparantly the switch doesnt respond anymore, So it's stuck on heating 3 I estimate  :rolleye:

Any idea what to do ?  :jumping:

short term fix the seats can be unplugged from the loom underneath, not sure which of the plugs it is off the top of my head though, you will need to check up as one of them is airbag

as a temp fix you can remove the fuse

possible issue: either a sticking relay or faulty dial on the climate panel

I just removed the 30A fuse of them so now I'm not getting cooked :)
If it's the dial I need to replace the entire climatronic control panel ?
