Golf R vs Roundabout

This is what I helped deal with on Friday night/saturday morning. Driver had serious leg injuries and took the corner "hard". Took some work to get him out aswell. The car is (*was) a 3 door DSG Golf R.
 
The driver is in hospital but has also been arrested on suspicion of murder after his daughter was found dead at the family home. Bit more to it than meets the eye but certainly brings a fresh dose of reality back with regards to the crash.

I was the first medic-type person to arrive and thought he was a goner. Think the pain relief went down quite well!!

Did you manage to extract the cdl lump before the car was carted off? :wink: :laugh:

ahhaha! Funny you should mention that.....now whilst the engine was knackered, I did note that the RNS510 was in tact and in mint condition. The seats were nice recaro buckets but ofcourse I had more pressing matters to be getting on with!

Ouch.  Have they guesstimated how many leptons he was going at it?

Don't know mate. I know what think based on what was in front of me at the time, but from what i've heard, its not being investigated by traffic police but rather as an addition by the major crime unit - but clearly the former will be involved in some aspect. It is 40mph bit but wa literally just national a few yards down the road where he came from. Tbh knowing the road and the route he came, I don't really understand how he binned it without going stupid speeds.

Wow he must have been driving that hard or maybe was the haldex  :rolleye:



On a serious note sad news about his family maybe he did it or maybe knew the person that did it so was driving hard to go get them

That photo is up on the daily wail website....not my photo, but no doubt some have done that! Didn't have a moment to stop and take photos tbh. As for breakers, no idea. It won't be around for a while as it'll no doubt be undergoing an extensive examination!

If anyone is interested, the driver of the golf has been charged with thh murder of his daughter and was due in court yesterday.

As yet, no explanation as to the cause of the crash.
